If you are seeking a change of pace, interested in meeting new friends, learning   new skills, exploring new destinations along with increased earning potential then travel nursing is for you!
Agostini offers exciting travel assignments nationwide ranging from 4-26 weeks, though the standard length is 13 weeks. Whether you seek the excitement of a big city, adventure of the great outdoors, relaxation of a beach community or simply to spend time closer to family or friends, we will get you there. You
simply tell us when and where and we will take care of the rest from securing a contract job for you to arranging and paying for your private housing and airfare.
PAY
The pay rates vary based on geographic location, specialty and the hospital. Many of our nurses choose to take travel assignments in California due to the overtime law which requires payment of time and a half your base pay after eight hours worked per day. Most of our clients offer three or four twelve hours shifts a week which means you earn 12 or 14 hours of overtime each week!
Note, it does not matter where the agency you work for is located, if you work in California, you are to be paid per California law.  For example, if the twelve hour shift rate is $665.00 – this is paid as the first eight hours at $47.50 per hour, the next four hours is overtime (x 1.5) which is $71.25 per hour.  We hear that Nurses are paid straight time for twelve hour shifts by some other agencies because the agencies tell the overtime is over forty (40) hours per week in all States EXCEPT California. We encourage all of our Nurses to work extra shifts at either their contracted hospital or in another hospital through our Per Diem division. When you work extra shifts at another facility, your pay rate increases to the higher Per Diem rate. This rate will vary depending on the hospital. Working extra is how our Nurses are making $3500.00 per week.  They work their three contracted shifts and then work the two extra shifts.  This is totally optional but most Nurses prefer to do this.  Your extra shifts are scheduled for you through our Registry per diem division when you choose to work extra over your contracted shifts. .  Since Agostini is Nurse owned and operated, we have been in your shoes. We treat all of our employees as part of our extended family and with that comes respect, honesty, integrity and loyalty. When you work with Agostini you can feel assured that we pass the “bucks” onto you. There are never hidden fees in our pay rates or benefits

INSURANCE & TAXES
Agostini pays for your Malpractice Insurance and Worker's Compensation Insurance and all mandated Federal and State payroll taxes.
If you are "shopping around" please be careful; we have Nurses calling us every day who got slammed with taxes at the end of the year because their agency was not paying their payroll taxes or offering “tax free” incentives.  Also, be sure that the company you work for is paying for your Malpractice and Worker's Compensation Insurance.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
PAY, BENEFITS, INSURANCE, HOUSING, TRAVEL QUESTIONS

Q: What are Agostini Nurse Staffing's Travel Nurse pay rates?
A: The pay rates depend on the hospital you choose, the State in which the hospital is located and your personal housing requirements.  If you work in California, DAILY OVERTIME will be paid per California State law.  The twelve hour shifts range from $665.00 per shift to $364.00 per twelve hour shift.  For example, the pay rate for a $665.00 twelve hour shift is $47.50 per hour for the first eight hours and overtime (x 1.5) for the next four hours of the twelve hour shift or $71.25 per hour.  Any time worked over twelve hours per day is DOUBLE TIME per California State law, which would be $95.00 per hour.  If you choose the hospital that pays $364.00 per twelve hour shift in California, the first eight hours would be paid at $26.00 per hour and overtime (x 1.5) for the next four hours of the twelve hour shift or $39.00 per hour.  Any time worked over twelve would be DOUBLE TIME which would be $52.00 per hour.

The pay rates for Northern California are the highest in the country. Hospitals in Southern California pay about $5.00 less an hour.  Assignments in Arizona and Nevada tend to be about $7.00 less per hour than Northern California and our hospitals in the South pay about $7.00 to $10.00 less an hour than Northern California.  Ask us when you call and we will go over this with you.

We pay our Nurses based on what the hospital pays us and all hospitals have different rates.  If a hospital pays us more, we pass that on to our Nurses.  This is why there is such a range of pay rates per specific assignment.

Q: How often will I get paid?

A: Our Clinicians are paid weekly on Thursday for the previous week. Our pay period is Sunday through Saturday.

Q: Do you direct deposit the weekly check?
A: Yes, these are direct deposited every Thursday.

A: Our Health Insurance is a PPO Blue Shield Plan that is good all over the country.  The plan allows you to use any Doctor that you wish.  It is absolutely excellent coverage and specifically designed for this company. If you want Health Insurance, tell us and we will send the Blue Shield forms to you.  We can start your coverage at the beginning of the month.  This is group insurance and there is no waiting period and there is no screening for pre-existing conditions.   Our plan requires that you do pay a portion of your coverage and this is based on your age which is deducted weekly from your payroll. Your Recruiter will go over the additional details of the coverage and cost.

Q: Does Agostini Nurse Staffing offer malpractice insurance, professional liability insurance and worker's compensation insurance?
A: Agostini provides malpractice insurance, professional liability insurance and worker's compensation insurance for all employees. This is free at no cost to you.
