ABOUT US
Agostini Nurse Staffing was founded in 1986 in the San Francisco Bay Area by Linda Agostini, RN.  Linda had been a Director of Nursing and a Nurse Educator for many years.  As a Director of Nursing, she had been exposed to agencies that  provided mediocre service and inexperienced Nurses to her hospitals; she chose to open her own agency to address these problems.

Agostini Nurse Staffing received JCAHO Accreditation in 1996 for all of its Home Health Divisions.  In 1993, we were Federally Certified and Licensed by the State of California for Home Health.  We received our JCAHO Certification for Travel Nursing and Per Diem Staffing in June of 2006.  We received our JCAHO Certification “with distinction”.

Linda's philosophy is that our job is at the bedside and not simply at the staffing office.  Our responsibility to our hospitals is to provide the most qualified and competent staff to the patients in that hospital.  We take this responsibility very seriously and evidence of this is contained in our strict screening procedures and in our references from the hospitals that we have staffed for 20 years.

Agostini provides Travel Nurses, Per Diem staff relief (Registered Nurses only), House Supervisors, Nurse Practitioners, as well as UR and Case Managers to hospitals.

Agostini is renowned for the credentialing and clinical excellence of its Nursing Staff. While our specialty is Travel Nursing, we do provide temporary Registry staff and permanent placement to our hospitals.

Agostini pays all travel, accommodations, Liability, Malpractice, Worker's Compensation Insurances and all required Federal and State payroll taxes for its clinical staff.  There are no “add-ons" or “hidden fees" or “small print" to our Hospitals.

What Agostini Staffing Offers
Agostini Nurse Staffing provides supplemental  staffing to all health care providers be they small clinics or large acute care facilities.  We have staffed hospitals for 20 years and continue to screen staff for all specialties.  Our current Nurses are our best advocates.  They enjoy working for us and are pleased with the assignments they have.  The reason: proper screening and matching hospital need to clinician.

 We have Travel and per diem Nurses always available.  We are known for staffing the most difficult shifts and specialties.  Our Nursing staff work nights, weekends and Holidays (including New Years and Christmas!).  We have per diem offices to serve the greater Sacramento area and the San Francisco Bay Area including the East Bay.

We can staff 4, 8 or 13 week Travel assignments or daily per diem shifts.  We are also working with hospitals to create “blocked shifts" or “master booking."; basically using a per diem nurse to cover multiple guaranteed shifts.  This saves the hospital money by not having to book a Traveler for a longer period of time.

We have nurses in all specialties willing to work all shifts.

We will provide Registered Nurses for assignments who are qualified and competent to fill the positions requested, whose skills & competency have been verified by Agostini Nurse Staffing and who meet the following requirements:

Licensure/Certification
Nurses must possess a current, valid Registered Nursing License issued by the State in which hospital is located. This License will not only be verified but a current copy is kept on file with us. Each employee shall carry this License at all times and shall present it to the Hospital upon request.

• All Nursing personnel must have a Healthcare Provider status CPR according to American Heart Association Guidelines. 
• Critical Care RN's must have ACLS (CCRN is recommended but is not required).
• ER RN's must have PALS and ACLS (ENA and TNCC are recommended but not required).
• Labor & Delivery and Mother-Baby RN's must have NRP or NALS.
• Nursery and NICU RN's must have NRP or NALS.
• PEDS and PICU RN's must have PALS.
• Operating Room RN's must have ACLS. 
• Psychiatric RN's need training in Management of Assaultive Behavior and Basic CPR.
  

Health
Personnel must have documentation of pre-employment annual health screening conducted by a licensed physician or an advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner. 

Competency
All personnel referred to a Hospital by Agostini Nurse Staffing will be screened prior to placement with Hospital to assure their qualifications, competency and credentials.

Risk Coverage
Agostini Nurse Staffing carries full liability insurance and full malpractice insurance and worker's compensation insurance for each healthcare professional.

Q: How can we contact you?

Q: How can we work with you without a contract?

A: We can create a contract to work for a short or long-term basis.  We can put you on our Insurance binder within four (4) hours.  We do not want red tape to slow the process of providing staff to your hospital.

Q: What rates do you charge for an RN?

A: Our hourly rates vary on the facility and the type of shifts.  We work with the hospital in identifying their short-term and long-term needs.  Most of our hospitals mandate their own bill rates.  We are comfortable with this but we do encourage our hospitals to pay all agencies the same bill rate.  In this way, quality wins.

Q: Do we have Nurses in all specialties?

A: Yes.  We have everyone from MED/SURG to ONCOLOGY to UTILIZATION REVIEW and CASE MANAGERS.   We are particularly proud of our House Supervisors and Department Managers;  we offer Temporary to Permanent placement of these individuals.

Q: Do you have references we can review prior to using Agostini Nurse Staffing?
